Introducing Shiitake Jones

Posted at 9:09 am under General, Stories

My online friend the inimitable Shiitake Jones is sharing her adventures with us! I will allow Shiitake to introduce herself…

Hello there macro chicks and dudes,
My name is Shiitake Jones. I am a fully fledged modern macro chick.

I am a yoga teacher by trade. I have dabbled with Bikram but these days I find it a little too sweaty - it made my organic mascara run which is not a good look for a modern macrobabe. Then there was my Iyengar phase, but I kept tripping over all those blocks and bolsters in my organic hemp Birkenstocks. Now I teach Hatha and incorporate Ashtanga. Though it has all become so trendy these days. I remember when I had to spell Pilates and people thought it was just a long four word! I am now studying macrobiotics part time, have done my first round of 36 ginger compresses and daikon hip baths, bake my own bread and really enjoy natto.I even make it myself these days! Must fly! I am off to buy some kale and barley for a soup, then have my hair hennaed before catching Christina Cooks on the box tonight. Tomorrow is the “make your own quilt class” with organically grown fabrics at the Waldorf College, then my Sunday afternoon yoga class and dinner with Zen….i mean Ken…..the hottest macro man I have come across…..even if he is still cooking boil in the bag macro dinners!

You can now follow my macro adventures here. To keep up with my latest adventures in cyberspace or post macro messages at my online forum, visit http://www.shiitakejones.com/

Shitake Jones was “discovered” by Ilanit Tof and Gary Miller.

As soon as Ilanit and Gary “met” Shiitake, they knew the world just had to meet her too and become aquatinted with her own brand of modern macrobiotic wisdom. Shiitake would love to hear from you. You can contact her by sending an email to shiitake@shiitakejones.com
